Step back into history and visit the Wellington County House of Industry and Refuge, also known as the Poor House. Built in 1877, it served as indoor relief for the "deserving poor."  It was a self-sufficient farm, run by the residents in exchange for their accomodations. On this website, you can explore what it was like to live in the Poor House.
